Tychsen Architects has built up a great deal of expertise by working as an architect, building expert and energy consultant, not least at a time when there is a strong focus on the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings.

Regulatory requirements for new construction continue to be tightened in an effort to reduce C02 emissions.

The energy framework and sustainability goals may be in conflict with other relevant client requirements such as orientation to world corners, interior design, choice of materials, indoor climate, views, economy, etc.

The challenges in new construction are multifaceted and complex, the involvement of the authorities in the design phase may be necessary, and process-oriented work is needed to solve problems in a satisfactory way.
